Book Cover Design
When is a book cover not just a book cover? When it’s a book cover for a bundle of books.
Designing this book cover series for fantasy mystery author D. Hale Rambo was a little different than a typical book design commission. Firstly, there were already book covers for each book in The Planar Pages series. Secondly, this wasn’t a typical book cover. This was three book covers for a set of series bundles.
The brief: Create covers for three bundles. Include images of the original covers.
The original book cover designer wasn’t available, so I could only utilize the existing icon designs, the font, and the colors.
My goal was to make covers that would complement and be connected to the original designs but not overpower the covers in the series.
